Sinful Sunday: Fireworks

I’ve been debating what to post for this week’s Sinful Sunday for a while. There’s a picture I took at the same time as this one, which is far more revealing and daring than anything I’ve posted before, but there are a few reasons I didn’t want to post it this weekend in particular.

Besides, I live in a part of the world where a few towns over they go a bit doolally at this time of year. The nice middle class town of Lewes takes it upon itself to set fire to everything in sight (apart from the Castle, the Really Old Bookshop, and Waitrose), all in the name of tradition.

I’m not so much into the fires myself. Don’t get me wrong, I love a moderately sized one in a grate, with a big chair beside it and a pint or mug of cocoa in my hands, but my favourite part of Bonfire Night is the fireworks.

  1. Oh gosh, this is fabulous. I love that the sparkler is the focus, it’s a wonderful capture of the sparks flashing, with you in the background, this really works.

  2. I LOVE the Lewes bonfire. I keep threatening to take Michael to it. I have not been in years but it has never fallen on a day of the week that we can make.

This picture is great, really tough to control the light in a shot like this as you need enough to show your boob but too much and highlights will be blown out, you got it PERFECTLY

  3. I want to go to Lewes for the celebrations one year, it’s always appealed to me because I love almost everything to do with bonfire and fireworks night! I say almost, I was badly burnt by a sparkler once and now I’m absolutely terrified of them so I think you’re incredibly brave for getting anything so delicate anywhere near one!
